By the way, my name is Maxine Alice. I have a good friend with that name and I've met quite a few Maxine's in my life time. Ilike the name betternow that I've met more and I tell myself my mother must have like the name Maxine so I'm OK with it. One quick story about my name. Several years ago we went camping in Maine and I met a lady at the pool and we introduced ourselves. I said my name is Maxine. She said Oh, my mother's middle name is Maxine, that was interesting. I have to admit, I hated it as a teen because I wasn't one of the 3 0r 4 Stephanies, Jessicas or Nicoles.. I heard every 'Maxi-pad' joke you can imagine because of my name. With time I grew into it. Its a very strong name to have. It makes for a strong and independent woman. And, whenever anyone says my name you know who they are talking about.. I think I dig that the most.
