It was unique when I first heard the name (spelled Kaya) but after naming my daughter my husband and I found out it wasn't as unique as we thought (a lot of kids with that name suddenly appeared). I decided to add an "I" to her name but I find that depending on how you spell the name, it may have a different meaning coming from a different country. "Kaiya" is suppose to be Japanese meaning forgiveness. There is also "Kaya" that is Native American. I has seen so many different spellings of the name!!!" (Report as inappropriate)
