I originally wanted to name her Jasmyn, but my husband didn't like the name & thought it was too common. I changed it a little and came up with Jazlyn which he fell in love with. I'm just shocked to hear there are quite a few more out there. I liked the nickname Jaz, but Jazmine was becoming much too popular -- so for us Jazlyn was a variation on that. So I would say that I did make it up, but not the only mom to do so -- with the result of a beautiful name.
