I got named after my dad's friend from high school who's name was Halle. My dad wanted to spell my name h-a-l-l-i-e because it would be unique. I like my name because IT IS unique and none of my friends have my name. But yeah, i have noticed a lot of older people get my name right, which is cool.

I love this name because its unique and alot of times people do pronouce it wrong like Haley or Holly I do get used to it after a while but it still makes me mad a little because you have to tell people over and over how to say it but its easy to get used to. My sister named me she go off the movie All I want for Christmas and her name is Heidi. I get Halle Berrie by my step dad and my uncle. We both have unique names and I love it my mom was going to name me Molly and my sister Brittney so thank God for my older cousin Brittney and for my sister I really love her for that.Ive met one person who has the same name but they spell it Haliegh which to me is sort of like Haley but its a great name to have and the best name to have." Also, our last name begins with "H" and I thought the two sounded great together. I think Hallie is unique without being totally unheard of. She does get called Hayley a lot, but people get it right eventually. She loves her name and so do I. We call her Hallie-bear and sometimes Hallie Chris as her middle name is Christine." Also Halle Berry won a big award that year, my great-grandmother's middle name was Hallie and my husbands grandmother's name was Hattie (similar). Hallie's initials spell HAT. I figured she'd get called Hayley in school and sure enough, she does. She also gets called Allie, Hollie, and one of my friends calls her a cross between Hallie and Hayley. I can't even say it. She's always been "Hallie-O' , "Hallie-girl" and "Hallie-gator". One of her friends calls her Hal. We have met 2 others named Hallie by chance in a restaurant and camping. After reading these comments I'm not so sure though, my name is Aimee and I've had to spell it out to people all my life.
