There are two Emily's in my junior class, me included. Now, the younger generations, i have definitely noticed more and more emily's, but hey, it's a cool name :] I, personally, am okay with my name. Every one of my friends, my boyfriend, my parents say it's beautiful, so I don't mind it. My mother chose it because it's a classic name, a "grandparent's name", aha. People in my class, who don't know, often mispell my name for some reasons, with two L's instead of one. And, I have two ways to say my name. I say it Eh-Mah-Lee, while my parents, friends, and my boyfriend says I-Mah-Lee. (like the 'i' in 'ignite') But really, it's a good name. I like it ^^" (Report as inappropriate)

In Renaissance England, you couldn't turn around without bumping a Mary, Katherine or Elizabeth. I also was named Emily before the boom. I know that there are a lot of Emilys out there, but each one is different and special. If I ever had children (which obviously I want) I would like to name her Emily. I call my friend either Em, Emi, or just Emily. But now, I'm calling her Emily a lot more, just because that's who she is. She's an Emily, and I guess it's more meaningful to call her that to me.
