Little did I know... 4 girls having boys after me loved the name so much that there were 5 boys named Caiden by the time my Caiden was 3. I think it is the best name! Comment left Feb 13, 2010: "Our son was born in June 2007 and we were told the name Caiden is a variant spelling of the Welsh (we are Welsh) name 'Caden' and derived from the word 'Cad' which means battle.
Like most people we pronounce it KAYDEN. He has two Welsh middle names - he is Caiden Dylan Pyrs (Pyrs is the Welsh version of Pierce). It suits him down to the ground although I do get annoyed with people thinking that his name is Jayden because I don't like that name very much.
I thought I was being original but I have come across a girl called Caiden - I still think it's far too masculine-a-name for a girl though. No offence to those who have called their daughters Caiden.
