Comment left Dec 20, 2008: "At first I was going to name my son Jaxon but the more I thought of the name the more I didnt think it fit what I thought my son was going to look like. Then I came across Aiden, but wanted to spell it Aden. I thought it was rare. I never heard the name. Then when I was in labor waiting to give birth, my mid wife came in and said she just delived two other Aidens! I was so sad cause i thought the name was unique. Man was I wrong." Comment left May 27, 2008: "Aden is an excellent name meaning "little fire" in Gaelic. Another spelling is Aidan, which is far more common, like the actor Aidan Quinn." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left May 13, 2008: "Aden is very popular first name in somalia - it is a geographical area in Yemen. An arab variation is Aydin - meaning brilliant, intelligent, the light of the moon." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left May 03, 2008: "I also named my son Aden back in May of 05. I had no idea it was going to become so popular. I never heard the name before. My friend was in a band and there was a song named "Letters to Aden"..and I fell in love from the first second I saw it. Now I feel bad because of how popular it is. Can't go ANYWHERE without a child being called "Aden" by a mother. It's often spelled Aiden, and it irritates me. I chose Aden's spelling from the meaning, handsome and adored. He suits his name in every aspect." (Report as inappropriate)
Comment left Apr 08, 2008: "I chose this name for my son, not knowing it was so popular back in May 2005. I had NO idea how popular it was becoming. I HATE when people spell it Aiden, though. I chose the Aden spelling because it's Hebrew meaning handsome and adored!" (Report as inappropriate)

When I was growing up Jason and Jacob were very popular names and I never met another Aden. When I'm 70, most likely I'll meet an Aden a day." (Report as inappropriate)
